Here's his diary for the next couple of weeks:
It was a great weekend for the Reeves family - Brendo's sister, Rhianon, once again called the pace notes for the talented young gun, whilst brother Nathan finished second overall.
The pace noted event will give the pair another chance to hone their pacenoting skills before heading to the UK later this month, where Brendo will compete in the Fiesta International Shootout.
After a cautious start re-aquainting himself with the 4WD Subaru RS after three rallies in front wheel drive cars, Brendo quickly adapted and was soon on the pace of the front runners.
After spending some time recently working on his Subaru Impreza RS to make it stronger, Brendo is hoping for a good result on the tough event. "It looks like it's going to be a very fast rally which won't really suit the RS," Brendo said. "However, it will be great to get some more competitive kilometres under our belts and to be able to fine tune our pacenoting ahead of our trip to the UK in December. We really enjoyed our last event over here (South Australia), and are looking forward to tomorrow."
Blistering through the second day’s six rain-soaked stages, the Mazda3 MPS driven by 20-year-old rally star Brendan Reeves finished eighth outright, and was the quickest two-wheel drive car in the competition. It's an achievement made even greater by the fact that only full-blown, four-wheel drive rally cars beat the Mazda3 MPS in the event’s overall standings.
