Victory for Brendo in Akademos Rally

Brendo has completed a successful day's rallying today, taking victory in the Akademos Rally, round six of the Victorian Rally Championship, in an impressive display.

It was a great weekend for the Reeves family - Brendo's sister, Rhianon, once again called the pace notes for the talented young gun, whilst brother Nathan finished second overall.

Driving his Subaru Impreza RS, Brendo used the event as further practice in pace noted rallies, and said his recent events in Tasmania and New Zealand have helped he and Rhianon to fine tune their skills.

The rally was held in the Alexandra/Buxton region in Victoria, and consisted of four stages each run twice.  Conditions were dry and although a couple of the stages were fairly rocky, Brendo really enjoyed the event and was rapt with his result.

"It really was a shock to come away with the win," he said.  "We were just using the event as further practice for the Fiesta International Shootout in the UK next month, so to win was a real bonus."

"It's a real confidence booster," he added.
