In preparation for this weekend's Tasmanian Tarmac Challenge, Brendo and Rhianon spent today testing in their Mazda3 MPS, and came away full of confidence.

Having never driven the car before today, Brendo was keen to get some kilometres under his belt to get a feel for the car.

"It took a couple of runs to get comfortable with the car, but once we made a couple of slight changes to suit my driving, I was really happy," Brendo said.

"I was able to push a bit harder as the day progressed and the car felt great."

With a full day of reconaissance ahead of them tomorrow (Thursday), and then a Media day and shakedown on Friday, Brendo and Rhianon will be chomping at the bit to get the rally proper underway on Saturday morning.

"We competed on most of the stages that will be used in this event last year, so we know what to expect come Saturday," Brendo added.  "The roads here in Tassie are awesome - I can't wait to get out there again!"
