Brilliant result for Brendan at Targa Tasmania

Brendan Reeves and Rhianon Gelsomino have completed a successful week at Targa Tasmania 2019 in their N Performance Hyundai i30 N.

After six days of competition the pair finished the event 6th in the GT2 class, 15th outright and they were the first Front Wheel Drive car home.

Even more incredible was the fact that their competition in the GT2 class consisted of a range of supercars including Lotus Exiges, Dodge Viper EXTREMES, Porsches and Chevrolet Corvettes.

Saturday’s six stages were run on wet and slippery roads and whilst very little rain fell throughout the day, the twisty and technical roads made driving a real challenge.

Throughout the rally the i30 N sported Pirelli Trofeo tyres which held up really well in both dry and wet conditions.

“We are thrilled to bring the i30 N home in one piece and without incident,” Brendan said.

“The car was awesome to drive and to get the results we did in a Production car in what is essentially an endurance race, is fantastic.

“It’s been a great week which wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Hyundai Australia, N Performance and of course, Rhianon, who did a great job calling the pace notes again.

“It was a satisfying way to celebrate our 80th rally together.”
