Brendan ready to tackle 2014 Australian Rally Championship

PDFPrintE-mail

Brendan Reeves will return to the Australian Rally Championship (ARC) in 2014 in the RallySchool.com.au Mazda2. Reeves will again be co-driven by his sister, Rhianon Gelsomino.

This year will be Brendan's second year in the ARC and he is feeling confident after some excellent results at the end of the 2013 season.

"I'm feeling much more comfortable with the challenge this year," Brendan said. "We now have a good set of pace notes for each event and are more comfortable with the roads, so we're confident of putting in a good performance this year."

Brendan is a fan of the format of the ARC events with each rally around 200 kilometres in distance and consisting of two Heats. The Power Stage, and the additional TV exposure it offers, as well as the chance to win some valuable prize money, are also bonuses according to the Victorian.

The RallySchool.com.au Mazda2 will run basically the same set-up as it did in 2013 with only a few small changes to be made ahead of the opening round in Canberra on February 28. Kumho Tyres are once again sponsoring the ARC and the Mazda2 will run on the same Kumho tyres as last year.

"By the end of last season we were really comfortable with the set-up of the car and the progression we made as a team," Brendan added.

"We are consistently working on new sponsorship efforts and have more new sponsors coming on board all the time, which is great."

"This season is looking like being a fantastic one for us."

Team Manager, Mick Ryan, added, "I'm looking forward to continuing the momentum we had at the end of 2013."

Once again Brendan will be offering rally fans the chance to be a part of the Brendan Reeves Supporters Club. Details of the 2014 Supporters Club packages will be released shortly.
