Wet and muddy conditions await Brendan at Rally Victoria

With the final round of the 2013 Australian Rally Championship (ARC), Rally Victoria, set to kick off on Friday, Victorian driver Brendan Reeves and his fellow competitors are in for wet and muddy conditions. Heavy rain has fallen around the rally base of Warragul this week causing Wednesday's test day to be cancelled. More showers are predicted for Friday but they are expected to clear on Saturday which is good news for competitors.

Despite not having competed on the Rally Victoria roads at an ARC level before, Brendan will start the event full of confidence after a brilliant performance at the previous round, Rally Australia, where he finished second outright after taking the win in Leg 2 and just being pipped by Honda's Eli Evans in the other two legs.

After a faultless performance at Rally Australia, Brendan is looking forward to getting behind the wheel of his RallySchool.com.au Mazda2 again. For this event he will be joined by co-driver, Glenn Macneall, with his regular co-driver, Rhianon Gelsomino, unavailable for the event. The experienced Macneall has fitted well into the team and both he and Brendan are looking forward to a strong battle with their rivals this weekend.

Rally Victoria will start on Friday morning (November 15) with the running of a qualifying stage with the top five competitors then completing a 'Power Stage' to determine their road position for the start of the rally proper. The event itself will consist of four forestry stages (around 70 km in total) on Friday followed by a further six stages in the forest and the Super Special Stage at Warragul's Lardner Park on Saturday. Total competitive distance is around 200 kilometres.
