Brendan looking to finish ARC season on a high

Mazda2 driver Brendan Reeves will head to Rally Victoria in a fortnight full of confidence after a strong performance at the last round of the ECB Australian Rally Championship (ARC), Rally Australia. Reeves finished second outright in the event after taking the win in Leg 2 and just being pipped by Honda's Eli Evans in the other two legs.

Adding to Reeves' confidence is his recent Championship victory in America - he sealed the Rally America 2WD Championship after winning all five of the events he entered. In doing so, he also helped Ford take the 2013 US Manufacturers' title.

With his commitments in the Junior World Rally Championship for the past two years, Reeves hasn't competed at the Warragul-based Rally Victoria at an ARC-level but with his own car club, Cerberus Car Club, running the rally, it feels very much like his home rally.

Reeves will be without his regular co-driver, sister Rhianon Gelsomino, for Rally Victoria. She is unavailable for the event so Reeves will be co-driven by the very experienced Glenn Macneall, but Gelsomino couldn't be happier with her temporary replacement.

"I'm rapt to have a co-driver from WRC level like Glenn with me for Rally Victoria", Reeves said. "We are already good friends and we both can't wait to get to the rally."

Macneall added, "I'm excited to sit beside Brendo as we have rallied against each other over a long period and now we get the chance to be a team."

Rally Victoria will be held in Warragul on Friday and Saturday, November 15 and 16.
