"We had a good day, today and are in fifth overall," Brendan said after Day 1 of Rallye de France.

"There were some really amazing stages today but there had been a lot of cutting (of corners) so it was difficult being further back on the road."

"We had one spin in SS7 and lost some time but the rest of the day went well. Tomorrow we have nine stages to tackle so we just need to keep learning and improving our pace over the day."
