Brendan raring to go on home soil |

Brendan, and co-driving sister, Rhianon, will compete in the event in their left-hand drive Subaru WRX in the Production World Rally Championship category of the rally.
The week leading up to the rally has been busy for the pair from Wedderburn in Victoria, with a full day of testing on Monday, and reconnaissance on Tuesday and Wednesday. It has given them a real taste of what to expect when the real rally action gets underway, and Reeves is excited about the challenge ahead.
“The roads are fantastic,” Brendan said. “They are very fast with a good mix of road conditions and they should suit the Subaru really well.”
“After three rallies in Europe in a 2WD car, it will be great to get back into a 4WD, especially on our home event,” he added.
Brendan and Rhianon are competing in the WRC Academy Cup this year, a series of six European rounds of the World Rally Championship, aiming to find the world’s best young drivers. The cost of competing on the world’s stage doesn’t come cheap and Brendan and Rhianon have been well-supported this year by the Brendan Reeves Supporters Club, fans of the pair who have generously donated funds to assist in their international campaign.
Brendan sees Rally Australia as the perfect opportunity to thank his fans for their support and he has had the car painted with the Supporters Club logo and that of his other major sponsor, Rallyschool.com.au, to highlight their support.
“The car looks great,” Brendan said. “A number of people have donated generously to help us compete at Rally Australia this weekend and we’ve had their names added to the bonnet of the car. It’s a small way we can thank everyone for their support. We hope to do all of Australia proud!”
Rally Australia starts with a Super Special Stage around the Coffs Harbour Jetty at 7pm on Thursday, 8 September. Three days of competition over the region’s shire and forest roads will follow before the winner is decided on Sunday afternoon.
