Brendan Reeves, Rally Finland, WRC AcademyDay 1 of Rally Finland has been a positive one for Brendan. The rally's opening day consisted of three stages and Brendan was sitting second overall in the WRC Academy after two stages, just 19 seconds from the lead.

The final stage of the day was a short 4 km stage just outside of Jvyskyla, the base for the event. Just 400 metres in to the stage, crews were faced with a hairpin bend and a slight overshoot cost Brendan six seconds.

"We had a good run through the first two stages, then made a small mistake on the third, but we're happy with our times. It's a big day tomorrow," Reeves said.
"There were so many spectators today. I have never seen anything like it before."

Day 2 of Rally Finland (Friday) is a long day of competition with only a 15 minute remote service at the lunch break, so it will be a day of managing the car as best as possible.

Brendan's aim for Rally Finland is for a good finish in order to accumulate more valuable points in the WRC Academy Championship and after the opening day, he is well placed to do so.
