Brendo sixth in Mt Buller Sprint

After three of today’s scheduled four stages were cancelled due to inclement weather, young Victorian Brendan Reeves sits in sixth position in this year’s Mt Buller Sprint.
Reeves, and co-driver, Rhianon Smyth, recorded a time of just over ten
minutes in their only run up the 16.1 km course today, and currently
sit 20.8 seconds behind their Les Walkden Rallying teammates, Grant
Denyer and Dale Moscatt, who hold the overnight lead. Brendo is very
happy with his run so far, with this event being only his second ever
on tarmac, and having never rallied in such difficult conditions before.
Brendo
and Rhianon and the entire Les Walkden Rallying team would also like to
extend their sincere sympathies to the family of Paul Flintoft who was
tragically killed in an accident on the event yesterday, and their
thoughts are also with the driver of the car, David Reynolds, who was
injured in the accident.
The Mt Buller Sprint resumes tomorrow,
and organisers are hoping that better weather conditions will allow for
all four of the days scheduled runs to take place.
