Pirelli Star Driver Shootout Program

The 2010 Pirelli Star Driver Shootout will be held in conjunction with WRC Rally Spain, commencing tomorrow, Thursday, 21 October.  Brendan will be competing against 17 other drivers from around the world.  The Shootout program involves training, physical tests, media presentations and driving tests.

22 Oct - Select driver pairs for each car and issue route instruction to Shootout stage

24 Oct - Driver Personal Presentation to Judges from 9h00
     Post event Media Conference following WRC event media interviews in Media room at HQ

SHOOTOUT PROGRAM : (Saturday, 23 October)

8h30 to 9h30 recces on both open roads, 1 pass (marshals will be at this time preparing the stages
and road is open to public)

9h30 commence shootout doing a first stage on gravel

10h00 to 11h30 gravel stage two times Group 1
When driver 1 finishes, mechanics set for driver 2

12h00 to 13h30 gravel stage two times Group 2

13h30 drivers have lunch, the marshals will move to next stage.

14h00 Tarmac stage should be 2,5 kms x 2 = 5 kms long (go and back to the start, like a test, and jury will see the same driver 2 times per stage) to keep the timing, as at 19h00 is dark.

15h00 to 16h00 drivers Group 1
