Brendo maintains momentum at Targa Tasmania

Brendo and Rhianon have had another excellent day at Targa Tasmania, maintaining their third place in the Showroom Class and finishing the day in 12th place outright.

The Mazda3 MPS has performed brilliantly to date, and the nimble 2WD is proving a real threat to the 4WD cars ahead of it.  Brendo set another fastest stage time today (Showroom class) and is enjoying driving the Tasmanian roads.

"The car went really well again today," Brendo said.  "We were fastest on SS20 without taking any risks, and to be in 12th outright after three days of competition is great."

With dry weather all day apart from SS21 where a number of accidents occurred, conditions were ideal for rallying.

The Mazda Motorsport Team have fitted new front tyres to the Mazda3 MPS ahead of tomorrow's stages which Brendo hopes will give him a bit of an advantage over his rivals in front of him.  The 4WDs of Tony Warren and Dean Evans (currently first and second in Showroom) are both restricted to using their original tyres until Day 5.
