Tarmac test day for Brendo

After a short break over the Christmas/New Year period, Brendo has been back in the driver's seat and is looking forward to another busy year ahead.

With a three day stint at RallySchool earlier this month behind him, Brendo then headed to Phillip Island for a test day.  Driving Les Walkden's 2008 Subaru STI, the track day was organised to test a new tarmac rally tyre that is being developed.

It was Brendo's first visit to the Phillip Island track and he really enjoyed the circuit.  The Subaru Brendo used was the same car that Cody Crocker drove in last year's World Rally Championship round, Repco Rally Australia.

"It was a great opportunity to do some more testing on tarmac," Brendo said.  "The track was awesome and it was good to drive a different car to the one I usually drive.  Les' car is a right hand drive '08 model, and it was the first time I had driven it and I was really impressed with the car's handling," he added.
