Charity Rally Day a great success

Last Friday’s Rally for a Cause charity rally day in aid of Father Chris Riley’s “Youth Off The Streets” charity was a great success, according to Brendo.

Brendo and three other top Australian rally drivers, Chris Atkinson, Neal Bates and Alister McRae, gave up their time to help out the worthwhile cause.  Around 55 guests had purchased tickets for the charity day which was held at Sydney’s Oran Park Raceway, and the four rally drivers, as well as four buggy drivers, took the guests for ‘hot laps’.  Rally cars were provided by RallySchool.com.au, Neal Bates, Michael South and Kevin Shaw.

The day also included a brief talk by Coral Taylor about the roles of the driver and co-driver in a rally, lunch, and the appearance of Father Chris Riley.

The day was organized and supported by Maurice Roach of Virtual Design Group (VDG), with all funds raised being donated to ‘Youth Off The Streets’ to support disadvantaged youth.

The Rally for a Cause charity day will feature on Sports Tonight on Channel Ten on Wednesday, November 11.
