Brendo ready for Global Green Challenge

Brendo will set off on a new adventure on Saturday, October 24 when he takes part in the Global Green Challenge, an economy run from Darwin to Adelaide.

As part of Kia Australia's two-car team entered in the Eco Challenge category, Brendo will drive a Kia Sorento CRDi in the eight day event.  He will be partnered by Geoff Forshaw, whilst their team mates will be another experienced rally driver, Glen Raymond, with Anthony Caldwell alongside.   Both Sorento SUVs have been prepared by Neal Bates Motorsport in Canberra.

 

{mosimage}The two new Kia Sorento SUVs are powered by Kia’s all-new, high-tech R-series turbo diesel engine which punches out 145kW of power and an astounding 422Nm of maximum torque (436Nm with automatic transmission) from just 2.2 litres, with combined CO2 emissions of just 177g/km.

Other manufacturers entered include Honda, Suzuki, Ford, Holden, Skoda, Hyundai and BMW.

The 3000 kilometre event starts in Darwin on Saturday, October 24 and finishes in Adelaide on Saturday, October 31.
