New Generation for Mazda3 MPS

{mosimage}Just this week I was invited by the team at Mazda Motorsport to help launch the New Generation Mazda3 MPS hot-hatch. I have driven the previous generation car a couple of times for Mazda (at the TTC in 2008 and Targa 2009), so it was great to be given the opportunity to get to know the next generation car.

 

Journalists from around Australia (day 1) and Mazda Club members (day 2 ) came to Sutton Road driver training circuit in Canberra to check out the new car and get up close and personal with this hot little hatch. The New Generation model has much more aggressive styling than the old one and there are a lot of improvements in this great little package as well as a lot more standard features. My job was pretty tough (!) -  show off the new MPS, and take people for hot laps! We also spent some time teaching our visitors from the Mazda car clubs how to handle this little rocket. We were also running our Targa rally cars. Take a look at some of my pics from the day in my Photo Gallery – best of luck to Mazda with the new model! They’ll certainly look great at Targa Tassie next year. (Here’s hoping anyway!)
