Rally Queensland testing goes well for Brendo

After a successful day of testing his new Subaru WRX STI, Brendo is really looking forward to rallying on gravel again in this weekend's Rally Queensland.

Co-driver Glen Weston will sit alongside Brendo for this weekend's event, and as well as testing yesterday, the pair spent some time refining their pace note system, which they will continue to work on today when they do their reconnassiance of the course. "Yesterday was the first time we have sat together in the car," Brendo said, "so we spent some time going over the pace noting system I use.  Every driver has their own system they prefer so it was just a matter of letting Glen know what I like to use, so he can write today's notes accordingly."

Glen is an experienced co-driver and has competed in Rally Queensland on many occasions so he should have no trouble adapting to Brendo's system.

Rally Queensland starts in Nambour on Friday night with a Ceremonial Start followed by seven stages and around 114 competitive kilometres on both Saturday and Sunday.

Brendo is one of four drivers contesting the Pirelli Star Driver competition, with the top two placed drivers earning an entry into the Asia Pacific Pirelli Star Driver shoot out at Repco Rally Australia in September.
