Brendo moves up to second place

Day two of Targa Tasmania has resulted in another fantastic drive from Brendo.

After completing another nine stages and 78 kilometres, Brendo lies second outright (Showroom class) and is still the leading 2WD car in that class.

 

It was another mature drive from Brendo and another faultless performance from the Mazda3 MPS today, and with two days of competition down and three to go, Brendo is confident he can maintain his pace for the remainder of the event.

"Everything is going according to plan," Brendo commented at the end of today's competition.  "The car is going brilliantly, our pace notes are spot on, and Rhianon and I are both feeling really comfortable in the car."

"Today's tight and twisty stages really suited the Mazda3 and it was a heap of fun to drive those roads," he added.

The main focus tomorrow for Brendo and Rhianon is to maintain their speed whilst driving as smoothly and cleanly as possible.  Tomorrow's stages start in Launceston again and loop out towards Devonport before returning to Launceston late tomorrow afternoon.
