Tough day for Brendo in Global Green Challenge |
Dust storms and head winds made for difficult conditions on Monday's leg of the Global Green Challenge. Brendo and Geoff travelled from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs averaging 5.4 litres of fuel per 100km in the Kia Sorento.
Brendo is hoping for better weather conditions on today's journey from Alice Springs to Coober Pedy.

Brendo's update: Global Green Challenge |

After the first two days of the Global Green Challenge from Darwin to Adelaide, Brendo today heads to Alice Springs.
Day 1 of the event saw Brendo and Geoff travel 337 kilometres from Darwin to Katherine, with fuel economy of 5.7 litres per 100km. Day 2 took them from Katherine to Tennant Creek, using 4.9 litres per 100 km.
Today's journey will see crews in the Eco Challenge part of the event head to their overnight stop in Alice Springs. After three days travelling in hot and humid conditions with no air-conditioning, Brendo says he is looking forward to the pool party tonight!

Brendo ready for Global Green Challenge |
Brendo will set off on a new adventure on Saturday, October 24 when he takes part in the Global Green Challenge, an economy run from Darwin to Adelaide.
As part of Kia Australia's two-car team entered in the Eco Challenge category, Brendo will drive a Kia Sorento CRDi in the eight day event. He will be partnered by Geoff Forshaw, whilst their team mates will be another experienced rally driver, Glen Raymond, with Anthony Caldwell alongside. Both Sorento SUVs have been prepared by Neal Bates Motorsport in Canberra.
