Rhianon and I have arrived and settled in at Olbia in Sardinia after our road trip from Brussels last week. Tonight was our first gathering of WRC Academy crews. We had a briefing on the rally to best prepare ourselves for the tough rally ahead. We were also presented with new Pirelli caps for the rest of the season.

 

Tomorrow (Tuesday) we have recce and also on Wednesday. It's been raining lots so the roads might be a little bit slippery. Thursday we have a test then the ceremonial start before the first stage on Friday morning. It's going to be a challenging rally with day one being totally new stages for the WRC and day two having three stages run twice from previous years.

 

We are hoping to carry on what we learnt in Portugal and adapt it to Sardinia. The roads are much softer here but will then cut up with ruts and it will be a different challenge altogether.

I'm off now for a good nights sleep.
