Hello from Estonia,

It’s not snowing just yet but the temperature gauge is saying -3 degrees. I’m over in Europe as my recent selection into the FIA Institute Young Drivers Excellence Academy has two camps over the European winter/Christmas break. Pirelli also took the Pirelli Star Drivers from this year’s WRC Academy to the Bologna Motor Show as part of the entertainment in the outside Mobil 1 arena.

It's been a big two weeks of competition but I have only just realized how fast this year has gone by and I have had so many people that have helped make it possible.

Securing the drive with Pirelli last October in Spain seems like yesterday but over a year has gone by and 12 rallies later including three Targas with Mazda Motorsport, Rally Whangarei in New Zealand, Rally Australia, a tarmac rally in Belgium and the six WRC Academy rallies.

All looking great. Did the ceremonial start tonight via police escort !!  Was awesome. Tomorrow will be very tough, massive day, no spares and only a remote service. Can't wait :-)

Rhianon and I have arrived and settled in at Olbia in Sardinia after our road trip from Brussels last week. Tonight was our first gathering of WRC Academy crews. We had a briefing on the rally to best prepare ourselves for the tough rally ahead. We were also presented with new Pirelli caps for the rest of the season.

Brendan's Blog from Brussels

Well, we've made it to Brussels safely. After arriving on Wednesday, we are spending the night here and road tripping it in the morning on our way to Italy. We have our recce car now and it looks good and we'll be driving it down south. We'll reach the ferry port at Genova on Friday afternoon then hopefully catch the ferry Friday night and arrive in Sardinia on Saturday morning. Rhianon and I are looking forward to it very much.

Brendan's Blog - Off to Italy

Since our return from Rally Portugal, we haven't had much down time (but who's complaining!!). We had a couple of days at home in Wedderburn before heading off to Tassie for the annual Targa Tasmania where we competed again for Mazda Motorsport.
